Lee, Carl and Darren
************************************************
The Daylight Faded, a brand new 3-piece band based in London and Norwich. Together for just 5 months they are on the verge of completing there first 7-track EP.
Spawned by singer/songwriter Lee Gordon, a BBC Radio 2 New Talent songwriter finalist described as, "A devil singing an angels songs".
The four key elements of the band are Lee’s vicious use of acoustic guitars through valve amps, a voice with power, poise and passion, from tear filled whispers to roaring thunder, Darren’s sweeping double bass, and Carls thundering technical drumming
Although a new project these guys are now strangers to the road, this line-up existed as ‘The Lee Gordon Trio’ in 2006 in Norwich where they played to sold out crowds in there adopted home town and played up and down the country to critical acclaim.
When Lee and Darren relocated to London so Lee could peruse his solo career with Darren supporting on Double bass, the 3 went their separate ways, Carl continuing with his Drum tutoring and session work. Lee put together ‘The Daylight Faded’ in early 2009. After two recording sessions, a ream of gigs, line-up changes and label interest, Lee decided it was time to make the call to Carl. “It took us about a couple of hours jamming and we just clicked! It was like the old days but 10 times better” says Lee of their first rehearsal session “Our time apart spreading our musical wings has made us into the band we always wanted to be and we can’t wait to get out there and show the world what we can do”
With a set of epic, raw, melodic rock songs the band are poised and ready to come out of the starting blocks and hit the stages. Shows up and down the country are scheduled and a stint in Europe planned also for 2010 keep your eyes pealed for THE DAYLIGHT FADED
'We are a live band, we pour every ounce of energy and emotion our bodies can muster into the music, being the best, most exciting and honest live band we can be is our goal.'

The Final Review from 2007
''Lee Gordon Trio commence their final set with Lee's now signature vocal solo, sung with compelling strength which gives last night's thunderstorm a run for it's money, and hushes a restless crowd. As always they play with charisma and professional backbone only seen in fully-grown bands.
So, the last gig. So much the same; the same steady self-assurance from Lee, driving basslines courtesy of Darren and aggressive drumlines from Carl, to contrast and strangely complement the force and occasional fragility of the vocals. And yet holistically the sound of the band has altered, the Trio have really established their own sound.
Lee's voice still seems to be at the epicentre of the band; in their performances it was (and still is) the first thing heard and the last thing forgotten, although the chemistry and respect between band members is undeniable. The combination of these three musicians has undoubtedly produced something which has become so prolific in the Norwich music scene that it has taken a life of its own, in the form of its followers. I mean, despite the heat the congregation remains. Some of the people here tonight (myself included) were here watching Lee Gordon Trio play in the Arts Center bar two years ago. And here we are again. That sort of loyalty has got to mean something.
With prevailing enthusiasm and unmistakeable optimism, Lee Gordon Trio sign out.'
