“This is more than music, we are more than words.” This is a statement that many, who have encountered or met The Day Of, have become familiar with. This is truly a band who has big things on their mind and agenda. Since the release of their first record, “Awaiting Takeoff,” The Day Of have garnered much acclaim but have yet to lose sight of the goals at hand. The band has been hard at work for the past 7 months writing, touring, and preparing themselves for the road ahead. With such large goals at the top of a list, it is safe to assume the pressures of releasing a follow up album. However The Day Of is excited about the possibilities. “When you say we want to change the world, people laugh at you, but when you speak with your actions and not your mouth people listen. You want to see change you want to experience hope and love, then be the change, be the hope, show the love. We can change the world, but it takes determination and perseverance.” Nick.

These are all things that generate excitement with the mention of a new record, and after many months of writing and recording, The Day Of, is set to release their follow up record titled “Undiscovered.” This album brings forth a much more polished and distinct sound from the band. “The vocals are bigger, the playing is better, the songs are bigger, and the writing has grown immensely.” Trevor Reddick. It is evident after hearing a few songs, that this band is continuing to grow. Growth is essential within the ever changing music industry.

With a new record, a polished live show, and a hunger that exceeds that of many, The Day Of are anxious to use their new music as a platform to show the hope and love in which can be found through Jesus Christ. It is evident to see why it is not hard to fall madly in love with this band. Their personalities and music grab hold of your heart and don’t let go. Disappointed is not a word often associated with this band. So be sure to check out their brand new album “Undiscovered” set to be released in May of 2009, it is sure to be well worth the anticipation.
