I was still gouging leftover makeup out from around my post-All Souls Procession eyes Monday night when Travis (ex-Los Federales, ex-Knockout Pills) currently in The Darn, Danny (ex-Mondo Guano, ex-Sonic Titan, ex-Pork Torta), no association with Bebe and Serge, Mike (ex-Blacks) currently in Ultra Maroon, Rodrigo currently in the Cuntifiers and Neil (ex-Top Set, ex-Gaylords) came together to form the Fuck All Night Super Stars. Technically none of the members are actually affiliated with the band so it was an awesome treat to see them play.
The F.A.N.S.S. were fun and loud as the lead singer Travis started the show off right by knocking over his microphone and breaking it, which set off a chain reaction of devastation that exploded Neil’s amp. Still refusing to take his left arm out of his shirt, Travis chastised the audience for clapping, “It’s people like you that keep this form of nonpenetrating art alive.” I couldn’t have agreed less cause my ears were being openly penetrated by their huge…ughhhh….audio phalli.
As Neil switched out his amp for one borrowed from Red Fang, he caught some jib jab from the sound engineer, “Maybe if you had 12 more guitars on stage that wouldn’t happen.” It’s the close-knit playful banter and Pussy Galore noisy four-guitar medleys that these seasoned musicians have to be proud of.
Even when the band almost melted away into Tucson summer obscurity, high and dry for a replacement drummer and bassist, it was serendipitous circumstances that eventually brought the band back to their cool practice space to reassemble.
The drums didn’t even move between sets as I found myself twixt pre-election debates considering smoking bans, gay marriage and minimum wage raises, all of which eventually moved to the stage when Greg Petix, from which the French would call Les Cuntifiers, appealed to the audience to vote to let him smoke his clove cigarettes in bars.
Happy with the crowd but still wishing it were a gathering, The Cuntifiers played to fans and F.A.N.S.S. alike. “I’ve never fucked all night,” Petix exclaimed, “but I’ve masturbated all night. I’m going to make a band call the M.A.N.S.S.”

The F.a.n.s.s = How can a Birthday night be held with out including possibly the sexiest Tucson supergroup: The Fuck All Night Superstars. Be Careful though, chances are they will ruffee their own drinks and demand to be taken advantage of. Well, isn't quite at 8pm and has to last at least past 9:30, when the lead singer of the Fuck All Night Superstars, Travis Spillers (Knockout Pills), is available to play, per a text I just received from Mrs. Spillers. Or is it still Mace?
