THE RETURN OF THE BAT
Specimen will bring their special brand of glam mayhem, The Batcave to London again.
After last year’s wildly-successful 25th anniversary Batcave event, The Batcave returns to its original spawning ground of London’s West End on Sunday July 19 for another night of blasphemy, lechery and blood.
Specimen (Fresh from a fantastic show at Leipzig’s Waves Gotik festival), the original Batcave instigators will headline the lurid frolics at the Embassy Club, (29 Old Burlington St, London W1S3AP) Also on the bill are original Batcavers Sexbeat, with DJs Hamish and Cavey Nick, cavorting from decks to decadence with the usual brutal, trouser-dropping surprises & suitably confronting & barbaric entertainment.
The 2009 Batcave will feature installations from exciting new artists of the ‘Dark London Underground’ and visuals from the upcoming ‘Welcome To The Batcave’ book, along with this year’s bitcrushed message from the creature in the Batcave Pram. All set in a spooky Bladerunner environment!
So dress to kill … prepare for a thrill & Expect the unexpected!
The Batcave will be open from 10pm till 3am. Tickets £15 available from www.ticketweb.co.uk and Resurrection Records.

Miss it at your peril!
i was in a jungle long ago. after indulging in more than my share of the gin, i decided 'im going to go for a walk'. i happened upon a tea party of exotic animals who proceeded to explain that the cycle from caterpillar to butterly has nothing in common with a man in a frock coat sitting on a bench waiting for a bus. this is how i became a fan of your work. xx
As we naturally fail to resist a yearn in us to hear one's personal aspect to do with things (very personal it will be, apart from being confused!), with the chance to be agreed upon - if it's personal how can one completely agree? - I shall forward this generously growing and definitely uniting true story of mine, here and now.
Out from a curious behaviour of listening to a last.fm library of my pal's las summer was when I first listened to the Deadfly Ensemble. Never had I heard of them! - what a shame to admit, yet lucky enough I was indeed; to come across with Cariadoc's Kiss. The unexamined effect and the greasy taste of those lips from then on has remained. (Haha, pardon me.) This is why I feel like uttering an obvious thing; special spells won't fade that effortlessly. The need for it, where? Nothing likewise to be witnessed in this case, no! The lyrics of all songs (by Deadfly E., Cinema Strange as well) righteously keep me in my place, as does everything else - since deliciously prosaic are they, each and every one of them. How ceremonically this terrible babble began! I guess it's just me to say earnestly: The group(s) is welcomed in Finland, most certainly.
