The group is made up of brothers Tom O’Keefe (vocals/guitars), Jim O’Keefe (drums), Ryan Wilby (bass) and Matt Schofield (keyboards and string arrangements).
Influences
The Dead Orchestra share a passion for epic British music and cite Elbow, Radiohead, Talk Talk, Massive Attack, early Verve and Spiritualized as key influences. The band is also heavily influenced by Motown - specifically Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and The Funk Brothers. They have a deep respect for the songwriting and soothsaying of Bill Withers.

Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut, Spokes are embarking on an extensive UK headline tour scheduled for November.
The grand sound of their album People Like People Like You was compared to the likes of Arcade Fire by the music undergrounds most influential press.
Spokes will be captivating audiences with material from their forthcoming second album, sharing stages with Volcano! and Mogwai along the way.
"The emotional intensity and waves of melody heard in their songs sound like they come as naturally to the band as breathing." (Drowned In Sound)
"Spokes were next and could well be my new favourite band. This 5-piece had me absorbed from the second they stepped on stage to the second they finished. With all the vigour and natural emotion of say, a temperate Broken Social Scene, their poignant waves of unassuming melody and up-tempo variation was captivating.” (Narc Magazine)
