The Deans terbentuk pada akhir tahun 1998, Band jebolan Poster Cafe & Kinta mani Bandung ini bermula dari band project-an oleh masing2 personel 3 band yang hampir tamat, Formasi awal: Deny(ex Sister hairdo) - Vox, (Alm) Kiki (ex Mostrap) - Guitar I, Doni (ex Mostrap) - Guitar II, Andry (ex Poppel) - Bass, Icang (ex Mostrap) - Drum. Mereka mulai mengibarkan benderanya pada acara2 undergound di Jakarta dan Bandung dengan influence Morrissey dan The Smiths. Kesibukan yang dimiliki oleh masing2 personel akhirnya membuat The Deans berada diujung tanduk, The Deans sempat beberapa kali mengalami pergantian personel. Setelah melalui masa sulitnya awal tahun 2004 The Deans mengibarkan influensenya dengan kembali hadir di panggung underground indie. dengan formasi terbaru kami dengan tersisa Vox(Deny), yg lain Ricky (Bass), Memed (Guitar I), Dimas (Gutar II), Fajar (Drum).
