About The Dear

The Dear is an all-female acoustic trio who play "Rad & Trad Americana Music". Rachael Rice plays guitar and harmonica, Margaret Stocksdale plays mandolin, and Kate Frattalone plays fiddle and banjo.

Together they draw from folk, Appalachian, and country traditions to focus on story-driven songs augmented by lush three-part harmonies. Their work defies genre classification as their material can vary from The Carter Family to The Clash, with originals and classic old-time tunes thrown in.
