When Rob Zombie dismembered his band for a film career The Death Riders were born. After years of touring with Rob Zombie, Blasko (bassist) was offered the 2004 Ozzfest tour with Ozzy. Shortly thereafter, Ozzy found himself bedridden from an accident while off roading, and Blasko found himself without a tour. While talking with a close friend, Blasko heard about a band from Venice Ca. called The Death Riders. He received a demo from guitarist Jonny Coffin (owner of coffincase.com) and immediately wanted to be involved. The band went directly into the studio to record 14 songs that have been compared to early Social Distortion, Sisters of Mercy and Link Wray with a much heavier driving edge. The Death Riders self produced 2005 independent release Soundtrack for Depression has earned that coveted street buzz from the LA underground. Band members are Daniel Gray the messenger Jonny Coffin guitarist, Blasko bass and Dave Casey drums. The band is working with several film producers writing music for placement in upcoming projects. MTV has added songs to their playlist for various episodes. Look for The Death Riders featured in upcoming issues of Guitar World, Guitar Player and Revolver magazines. The Death Riders P.O. Box 692 Venice Ca. 90294 NEWS........ Blasko will be touring with Ozzy on the 2007-2008 tour. Piggy from Wednesday 13 will be taking his place in Rob Zombie. The Death Riders are currently in the studio working on new tracks for a 2008 release titled "And then came the Rain".
The Death Riders will be featured in The Wizard of Gore performing their song God Hates The Dirty Ones. Look for the movie coming to a theatre near you!

Had some tv show on in the background while I am sitting here at the computer and a few minutes ago I heard part of the intro to No Mercy in the soundtrack of a show called Extreme Terror Rides on Travel Channel!!! They played it when they were talking about this massive scary ride in Florida...it only played for a couple of seconds, but I am 100% sure it was from your song. I am confident that you are aware of it, but it was very kewl to hear a DR's song on proper tv!
