About me:
Welcome to The Debutante Ball, a group of six of the most exciting upcoming female voices in fiction: Tish Cohen, the author of Town House, due out in July 2007 from Dutton Children's Books & HarperCollinsCanada (the sound of coin clinking you just heard must have been Cohen cashing that check Scott Free productions gave her for the film rights); Mia King, whose book, Good Things, will be out in February of 2007 through Berkley Books (Penguin USA); Kristy Kiernan, the authoress of Catching Genius, which will be on shelves in March of 2007; Jennifer McMahon, the writer behind Promise Not To Tell, which will be released by HarperCollins in April, 2007; Eileen Cook, whose In The Stars will be available from Penguin/Berkley in February, 2007 (you'll have to catch a double feature of In the Stars and Town House, since New Line just picked up her film rights) and Anna David, the author of Party Girl, which Regan Books/HarperCollins will publish in June, 2007. Yes, there's a theme: we all have books due out in 2007. As a group of writers, we have the kind of diversity any self-respecting progressive school would drool over and don't even get us started on our books. (We're a passionate bunch.)
