The Story So Far…

Formed in 2004, Birmingham based Deciphers consist of brothers Michael Clarke (vocals/guitar) and Steve Clarke (bass), along with Stuart Baxter Wilkinson (drums) and Adam Chetwood (guitar).

Originally a three piece Michael, Steve, and Stuart spent several years honing their sound in rehearsal rooms around Birmingham and playing throughout the West Midlands, before recruiting London-based guitarist Adam Chetwood in January 2007.

The past 12 months have seen the band who “forge influences such as Arcade Fire, Pearl Jam and The Flaming Lips into epic and poetic songs” (subba-cultcha.com) continue to build a stunning live reputation whilst playing around Birmingham and London, impressing BBC Radio One DJ Edith Bowman who name-checked them on air saying they were "a brilliant band…with really great pop songs".

Deciphers are managed by Mark Wood at Radius Music.
