The Delta Monarchs are one of Brisbane’s newest and liveliest Roots/Rock Quartets already securing a gig at the coming 2009 Woodford folk festival. Since their recent conception the boys already have a swag of gigs under their belt and more coming including the Beechmont Blues stomp, Valley fiesta sideshows and the North coast’s Rock n Roots festival. A well rehearsed rhythm section with percussion, bass and drums back up grinding Lap slide and spanky guitars, hooky vocals and 3 part harmonies, giving the Monarchs that vibing festival sound. Needless to say that the vast experience in both live and studio performance by all members provide the backbone of this freight train. Dual lead vocal provided by Jason Castle (also swinging guitars and slide) and Rohan Staples (on bass). Geoff Forbes brings home percussion and vocal, with Bryan Macaranas throwing down sticks on the drums..
