The DELTA NATIONALS dig deep into a historic mine of American music. In Steve's basement music room the band explored the styles they love. The band's original songs reflect the influences they've tapped into. They're showcased on their first album, "Get Out" along with some favorites from artists influential to their sound. This music vibrates with joy, soul, heartbreak, and dance-the-night-away abandon. From decades working as individual journeyman musicians, The Delta Nationals found a loyal audience for vintage American dance music. Wherever The Delta Nationals play, their fans swing, waltz, jitterbug, rhumba, cha-cha, boogie and have a good old time............ 2nd album is out now! It's titled "All Over the Map" and is full of all new and original material. Check it out! ----------------> Buy it online digitally on cdbaby.com and digstation. Also available at The Works.
Happy Happy Birthday, Dave! It's so cold in here - it feels like a cave. I can't stand to be freezing, or "parished" as they say in that country that's green. What do you think you should do? There you'll find your next clue...
Greetings from Ireland, you already have fans here and there are loads of perfect venues for you guys.... Enjoy all your gigs this weekend! wish i was there for all these major gigs... Willie, Arcata's birthday... hope at least one of you reads this too! :) and it probably won't be my dad!
Awesome show last night in Trinidad! I'm so glad you did "Wichita Lineman"... you guys do such a great version of it. That Dave guy playing guitar and keys in "Camel Rock" was pretty impressive!
So I hear there's a new album coming out... I also hear you should read my column in tomorrow's Northern Lights section of the Times-Standard, Just sayin'. :-)
Alright, Grandpa... I look forward to seeing you guys tonight, with good camera in tow. Let's see if I can get some good posing-like-you're-not-posing shots... that's what rock stars do, right?
~Monica~
"Yeah, you guys are great and all, but why don't you do some Staind covers or something?" -Idiot at New Year's (?) gig, at a ritzy country club in Santa Rosa, 2004
I don't know why I have such a hard time getting good pictures of you guys. I didn't have my good camera with me Friday night, but this picture was my favorite. Wish I could have been back for Saturday night, but none of my date options were old enough for the Indigo. :-P
