Bio
Founded in 2005 by Andrew McKee (guitar), Matthew O'Rane (viola) and Grant Jordan (drums), the instrumental group has captivated audiences with their blend of progressive rock, jazz, world, classical, and electronic elements. Their debut full-length album "Inverted Earth" (a concept album placing the Biblical flood story in modern times) is set to be released in the spring of 2010. .. .. The Deluge's debut EP (self-titled released in 2007) received positive reviews and achieved modest success. In support of their first EP the group performed as a trio around California at prestigious jazz clubs, rock/pop music festivals and countless college campuses. The band garnered enough attention around their local music scene to be named the 2008 winner of “Best Instrumental Act “ by music/art magazine Inland Empire Weekly. .. .. At the end of 2008 the band felt they had taken their first release to its limit and began working on a new album. 2009 was dedicated soley to realizing their ambitious vision. With the new album the Deluge are confident they have contributed something new and exciting to music. The group has also expanded their live sound by adding a cast of talented musicians to capture and re-imagine the ideas of the album. .. .. In 2010 The Deluge will be performing in support of their new album and aspire to take their music further in all respects. .. .. Thank you for visiting The Deluge's official site. -
