With a gift for melody, simple yet poignant songs, sweet harmonies, and a guitar sound that is as much today as it is the '60s, The Demos is one of the best pop bands playing today. And the little bastards are barely out of their teens. The music is simplified to the point that it works whether strummed electrically or acoustically. The hooks are simplified to the point that you'll find yourself whistling a chorus the next day. The live shows are all blown-out denim, sneakers, and boots, which gives the band a casual, sort of tempered Gram Parsons sweetness against the magnetic Fab Four pull it undoubtedly feels, and makes no effort to resist.
