The Depraved has a lot of different influences. Most of them come from bands which fit in the so-called "emo" genre (thursday, boy sets fire, taking back sunday), but there's also a big influence coming from some 80's bands, especially The Cure. Other than that, there's also a slight metal influence... you'd better check out for yourselves...
Sad news this time. After eleven years of music, fun and friendship, our bassplayer Jan decided to quit the band. We wish him all the best with his new project and hope to play some shows together with him and his project in the future...

There are plans to put out a live CD! This album will contain several previously unreleased tracks and acoustic versions of older songs. To get an idea of the sound, check out the live version of "Forgive and Forget" in the player at the top of this site.

Yesterday we celebrated our 10 year anniversary at the Lexor Theatre. It was awesome and we had a really great time. Maybe we should do a theatre-tour in the future, because it worked out really well for us.
Very special was that all three "ex-bandmembers" (Elmo, Leo and Denny) were also present and played a few songs with us... that Cedric (Guinevere Leaves) played some really good acoustic songs... and that Manuel's parents even brought some home-made pie!
Anyway, we would like to thank everyone who was part of our anniversary! We already uploaded a few pictures, but we will add A LOT MORE pictures in the near future, so keep checking back.

Onderzoek artiesten residentie in Parkstad Limburg
Sinds enkele jaren is er een te kort aan oefenruimtes in de regio Parkstad Limburg en omstreken. Om dit probleem op te lossen willen we in Kerkrade 'n artiesten residentie beginnen. Een multi-cultureel gebouw bedoelt als thuishaven voor alle artiesten: bands, muziekanten, DJ's, singers-en songwriters en andere podiumgangers. Alles onder 1 dak: oefenruimtes, opname-studio, zaal en podium voor 500 personen, management voor bands en DJ's, gitaar- drum-en zangles, café met keuken, 'n 2de café met 'n akoestisch podium, biljarts, darts, kicker, muziekvideoschermen en nog veel meer. Een plek waar elke artiest zich thuisvoelt, 'n huis waar artiesten samenkomen en hun ervaringen met elkaar delen. Een muziekcentrum voor, door en van de artiesten zelf.
Ben jij 'n artiest en hebben we je aandacht? Dan zouden wij graag met jou in contact willen komen. Wij willen onderzoeken of en hoe groot de interessen is om dit mega-project te starten. Zonder informatie van de artiesten kunnen wij niks beginnen. Met ons in contact komen is altijd vrijblijvend en verplicht niemand tot iets. De lokatie is al bekend bij ons en starten kunnen we deze zomer al. Nu ligt het aan jullie, de artiesten, want alles staat in het teken van de artiest. Bij voldoende informatie-aanvragen zullen wij op zeer korte termijn 'n bijeenkomstavond op de lokatie houden, waarbij muziekanten, bands, DJ's en alle andere belanghebbende uit de regionale muziekwereld uitgenodigd worden.
