Biografía
In 2006, two guys from Dallas, Texas, USA began creating music with fans of late 70's/early 80's post-punk/new wave in mind, calling their project "The Detached." Their influences include Gary Numan & Tubeway Army, Bauhaus, Devo, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, along with hundreds of Punk and Metal bands from their formative teenage years. The Detached's first track, "Nexus Zero", was written as homage to Tubeway Army - intended as a "pastiche" of Gary Numan's early work, primarily from the "blue album" to "The Pleasure Principle." Subsequent songs are not "tributes" (or "ripoffs", as the case may be) intended Numan pastiche; rather these songs are creations in which The Detached draw from their musical influences. while developing and expressing their own unique sound. The Detached hopes to have an album's worth of material by end of 2007. -
