Piss Pissedoffherson (vulgarity and motor skills), Mark William Lynn I (high dexterity points of the electric lead guitar persuasion), Jeff Motherfuckin' Baker (anchor down bass), Gentleman Smith (CRASH! BANG! THWACK! THWAP! WALLOP! BOOM!).
Influences
Meaty, toothy Rock'n'Roll, beer-in-your-tear Country, Down home Southern Rock and anything else that ain't watered-down and softened by mediocrity... TANK, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Drive-By Truckers, Jason Isbell, Mclusky, Robbie Fulks, Jawbreaker, Star Room Boys, the Bronx, Motorhead, Neko Case, Waylon Jennings, Big Tobacco, Scud Mountain Boys, the first era of Son Volt, Hank Williams, I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch in the House, Michael Dean Damron and Thee Loyal Bastards, the Replacements, Minor Threat, Carolyn Mark, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, George Motherfuckin' Jones, AC/DC (Bon Scott era), and a bucket of blood more... But it ain't just the music of these upstanding artists that influence the bands... Dimly-lit bars, cigarettes, love gone so fucking wrong you need a shovel to get lower, the rain, the moon, whiskey, pills, the crackle of vinyl beneath a dust-collected needle, meat, skewed redemption, old churches, the state of Wyoming, ghosts and demons accumulated along the way.
Sounds Like
Just what you might expect a band of middle-aged whiskey-guzzlin', cigarette smokin', skirt chasin' do-no-gooders to sound like. Meaty, toothy Punked Up Countrified Rock'n'Fuckin'Roll like mama used to make.
Born 50 years to the date after Country Music legend, Hank Williams shuffled off this mortal coil, The Devil's Own has set up shop in the confines of this Country Rock circuit with the intent of fucking shit up. But not in the obvious nihilistic punk rock capacity that has become humdrum and cliche. Essentially, The Devil's Own is a campaign against the mediocre drivel that occupies both Nashville's "Country" and mainstream pop culture, intent on taking an active role in re-incorporating the teeth and meat that has long been missing. With roots embedded in a myriad of styles, including NWOBHM, punk, metal, jazz, early-to-mid-90s "emocore" and the gambit of Americana landscapes, The Devil's Own can't really be nailed down to one specific genre, which allows the band to roam freely without regard to restriction. In late 2004, the band released its debut, Everything Is Broken Always, on the self-financed PASS-A-FIST! Recording Corporation label and currently has a new full-length half in the can to be titled The Mood That Wouldn't Swing. The band has made some regional hits around California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and the Pacific Northwest and has shared the stage with what songwriter/vocalist/guitarist, Piss Pissedoffherson, refers to as "bitchin' bands" such as I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch in the House, the Runaway Boys, Michael Dean Damron and Thee Loyal Bastards, Rocky Votolato, Drag the River, Two Cow Garage, Scott H. Biram, Richmond Fontaine, KeepSweet, Motel Fresno, Mojo Apostles, Slowfinger, Electric Boogie Dawgz, Porkchop Express, Red Cloud West, Hillstomp, Ghost Buffalo, Out On Bail, Mark Pickerel, Kleveland, Drunken Prayer, Lana Rebel, Rex Hobart, the Whipsaws and numerous others... The Devil's Own, putting the bitch back in obituary since 2003, motherfuckers!

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German.
