    .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ........ Los Angeles rock and soul band The Diamond Light formed over long summers and weekly blues jams back in New Hampshire. .. .... Singer and guitarist Griffin Young began writing songs with drummer Ian Ochs almost ten years ago in Ian's father's band. Playing together in bars with their parents throughout High School, they eventually paired up with bassist Richy Jenness and guitarist/vocalist Brian Stanley to form the final incarnation of The Diamond Light. In 2007, the band began to make their way West, with some of the band stationed in Phoenix and others in California. Eventually, all four members found their way to Southern California. .... After two years of writing and playing around L.A., they released an EP entitled Krotona in the summer of 2009. Named after the monastery-turned-apartment complex Griffin and Brian called home, the EP was produced by neighbor-turned-mentor John Chelew at Pacifica Studios in Culver City, CA. The release led to a Pacific Northwest tour in the fall of '09 and garnered support at college radio along the way. .... This year, The Diamond Light are out to claim every dive-bar, boulevard, and junk yard. Their electric live performances have been fueling a growing fan base with regular headlining shows at every major venue from the Westside (14 Below, Air Conditioned Lounge, Stronghold) to the Eastside (Viper Room, Silverlake Lounge, Spaceland) and are done recording the follow-up to Krotona due out in January 2011. .... ..“...the truth that is realizable in a dead man's bones and is beyond the Tree of Buddha as well as the Cross of Jesus.
