"The Diesel Fitters - Seven piece folk-stomp-rock-esque outfit! Comprising of Drums, Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, and now the interesting parts, Fiddle, Mandolin, Accordion and percussion to boot! Influences include The Pogues and The Waterboys to name a few. They manage to fuse a variety of styles that culminates in the lively, stomping, and rousing set that they deliver, whether it's a swanky bar or a smoky pub!"
'The best band I've seen in this venue for a long time' - the bar staff, Telfords Warehouse, Chester.
"Many, many thanks for a phenomenal gig on Friday - words escape me! Honestly one of the greatest bands I've ever seen - & I've seen a lot!
I've put you a permanent link on our Gig Guide page also, coz I Luv u!" Jon, hark2towler pub, Bury. www.hark2towler.co.uk
THE DIESEL FITTERS LIVE @ THE MAGNET
THe diesel fitters manage to fuse folk, rock and pop to form a bright and happy gig that would complement a few pints quite nicely. It didn't take them long to impress the loyal following who 'fitted in rather well with the 50's decor. Jokes aside though, The Diesel Fitters are a tight and talented outfit where songs like 'Sail Away' proved they can knock a decent tune out like the best of them. Its just a pity that folky kinda stuff isn't very fashionable at the mo, if it was i'm sure the NME would be half way up their rectum. For now they'll have to settle with riotous gigs in Pogiue Mahones and being the sweethearts of BBC Radio Merseyside. Not bad eh? - Joe Curran RE:LOAD magazine
