From humble beginnings in Southeastern Massachusetts, to being the founders of the most d-i-y punk record label in Boston, Winter Street Records, Boston punks the Dimwits have been making west coast punk rock a home in Boston since 2003. Having released their debut EP "Clear the Room" in 2005 they have played Greater Boston and the New England Area non-stop. While never turning down the opportunity to play out the band wrote, recorded and self-released 2007's full length "Hey Man, Good Set" on their self formed d-i-y label Winter Street Records. Having shared the stage and the bar with well known drunk punks Darkbuster, The Freeze, Murphy's Law, Far From Finished, Mung, The Arsons and many more the band decided to embark on an east coast d-i-y tour in support of "Hey Man" with stops in New York, Michigan, Indiana, Tennesee, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and New Jersey. Drawing from their influences such as the Bouncing Souls, Pennywise, Murphy's Law, Kid Dynamite, The Queers, Black Flag, 7 Seconds, Grey Area, and the Meatmen the Dimwits have created a west meets east sound that has been compared to NOFX, Descendents, and Screeching Weasel. Never found without a cold one in hand the Dimwits suggest you crack one open, dust off the vision, unlock the mongoose and say "Hey Man, Good Set"
