The Dirty Eighties formed in the Fall of 2006 and was an experiment in merging personalities and influences that produced an original sound in an era when so many bands are just copycats and trend jumpers. Lyrically, the Dirty Eighties covered themes from self- awareness and paranoia to criminal lifestyles and the celebration of young adulthood. Due to creative differences the band called it a day in the Summer of 2009. The band members have since pursued new bands such as Secret Vessels, the P-47 bombers, and (Unnamed as of yet Steve Jackson band).
