really hate that y'all couldn't play the next show. maybe next time :) i'm really jonesing to see y'all play live again... :D

so yesterday i'm hanging out in science hill and i get this text from a friend of mine from columbia.  she had never seen you all play before but caught you at the state fair.  she informed me that you all won.  CONGRATULATIONS!  it doesn't surprise me that y'all won but still...that's pretty awesome.  keep on rockin guys....

can i just be honest for a minute?  i had NO intention of staying at the relay the entire time.  i had no intention of staying there until 3 a.m., actually.  UNTIL  i found out you guys were playing.  then i was like...YEAH...i'm tired and old and stuff but it's NO TALE LIGHTS and you gotta stay at least until 3:00 to watch them play.  THEN y'all took the stage, after having played a show in corbin and traveling back to rock out in your home town, no less...and then my energy was revived.

and not only my energy, but everyone else's.  there were few, if any, people walking around the track before you took the stage.  but after you took the stage?  there were people not only walking, but carrying chicks on their shoulders, no less, and everyone was smiling and felt good again.

for people MY age (and yes, older), to get that kind of energy from just someone playing?  that's a very special thing. 

so i...personally...want to thank you for taking the effort to play this AFTER you'd already played, traveled back home, and was probably ready for bed.  y'all did not disappoint and you brought the energy back, to pull us through to the morning.  it was an awesome experience, and one i won't forget.  we MADE IT, for 12 hours straight (some of us longer, who had to set up), and i give NTL full credit, at least for ME, in being able to make it and pull through. 

keep on rockin, guys :)
