Sounds Like
people who have no kind of respect for authority.
From Triangle Rock 1/18/08 (R. Grady):
The new 3-piece Dirty Little Heaters will take your head clean off. If you don't have a "bands to watch in 2008" list yet, grab a post-it & write their name at the top of it.
Fuse—The Heaters' Reese McHenry has a voice that can rattle chandeliers at 50 paces. Not just with power but with the bluesy depth of Big Mama Thornton, where everything she sings sounds a little, well, dirty. The Heaters are now a trio: With bassist Rob Walsh (formerly of the Spinns) and Dave Perry (Jett Rink), they nod to heavy metal riffs and heavy psychedelics, all tempered by McHenry's soulful wail—unmatchable 'round these parts.

Reese-you have never sounded so full of vigor and love and you know you always give me goosebumps and you surely did last night at the Joyce, right from the first single note.
Dave-you looked like you were having too much fun. You better work on that.
Rob-in my opinion, you are one of the best bass players around but really, right now I hope your balls are the size of watermellons.
Rob, you made us sound fantastic. You made all the bands sound fantastic. Sound was unprecedented.
Reese, I wore my beautiful necklace today. That was so thoughtful, and I love it. You were fabulous with Red Collar, and I loved dancing with you. More hanging out together soon, please.
Dave, better late than never. It was just cool to see you. As always.
You all are wonderful. We'll be at the next one. xo, m
I'm having Reese withdrawal, though I did spend a nice evening with Rob last week at the 506. We talked about nasty things but nothing about boobs, alas.
Well, Rob has to be there because it's his job, and frankly I couldn't be more pleased that he's our sound man. But, we shore would be honored if the rest of you would come to our cd release party on Saturday. wouldja?
