We are a three-piece band from around the Pewsey area and have as of late been experimenting with Surf/Rockabilly/Punk. It all started when Daniel was invited to Aza's house for a Jam Session. With his own electric guitar broken, he had to make use of Aza's, and for the next four hours or so, played nothing but the surf songs he had learnt over the past few months...really loudly.
Before the next Jam Session, Daniel and Aza both asked Nick if he would like to come out and play, however down to some disorganisation on everyone's part, Nick was late, and both Daniel and Aza failed to send him any songs to practice. He managed to pick up Pipeline quite quickly (Go Nick!) and we played through that once or twice, until Daniel and Aza became tired and bored, wanting to do something else after having been playing for 3 hours.
At the moment we are still trying to figure out our "sound", but once we get down to it, we'll be practising over the summer, writing and just playing around with ideas for songs, to become probably the only SURF/PSYCHO band in the area. Daniel actually has a double bass now, but he needs time to practice :(
EMO sucks, end of.
If you wanna contact us email us at: thedirtyphantoms@hotmail.co.uk (Although we check this WAAAY more often).
Bear in mind, the band is pretty much still in its infancy, and we aren't really ready for proper gigs just yet although we're planning to steal Nick's new shiny microphones (when he gets them) soon and record a few proper tracks. proper awesome tracks :)
