The Dirty Pickups started late in 2007, with Dixon and Tracii wanting to start an all girl band. Apparently Dixon (Square Peg) fancied wearing a dress! Anyway, they roped in Neil who always fancied a go at bass, and Dave who was same for drums (not for wearing dresses though). A couple of covers to have a go at and before you know it Emma joins to double the guitar and vocals and to complete the 5 piece boy/girl band. The sound is punk rock and roll, bit of this bit of that. Jan 28th was our first gig supporting Grinn, Cezare' (Dave on Bass!) and The Begrudgers (Neil on drums!), sort of a family gig! As time gone by we've parted ways with Dixon, now in our good friends Spat, and Dave is planning world domination with Eunoia.
So, with a new line up, featuring Si, formerly of Last Ditch and Jamie who also plays in Bumpercrop , we've some new songs on the go, we're up for gigs again and should have some new tunes up soon, recorded with Dave & Dixon, and some brand new stuff in the pipeline.

Yeah im glad i found the site too, means im not going too miss out on any yummy gigs! Although, i must admit i am a bit of a lazy bar stool though, i just wait half the time on texts fi mates telling me when the gigs r on!
