The Disease is a three piece noise rock band from the upstate of South Carolina. The original unit existed for only 9 months in the year 2000, but stayed mildly active through 2003 with the recordings of original members Christopher Ashley and Franklin Farr. The current and strongest line up to date features Ashley, Farr along with John Henley. The band has released 3 records, a split 7" with Racebannon on Monotonstudio (Germany), a full length cd entitled, "Dyslexic Experts in Reverse Psychology" on Alone, and a split CD/LP with Fax Arcana, "We, The Bankrupt" also on Alone. The Disease has played several indie/hardcore fests, MacRock twice, and CMJ as well as selected WARPED TOUR dates.
The current line up just completed a new set of songs for 7 inch singles on various labels. A new Lp should be completed by January 2007.

www.groundzerorocks.com or www.holycitybooking.com . we rarely book shows unless it is a friend's band, and we get like 5 emails a day about this. I am sure someone can help you from those sites, good luck!

While on tour with Celebration, Miyuki Furtado of the Rogers Sisters met some of Katrina Ford's Atlanta-based friends. Finding like-minded musicians in British born vocalist Destiny Ming Wan Montague and guitarist/melodica player Autry Rene Fulbright, he offered to play drums for them if they ever made it to New York.
Shortly thereafter, not without a little encouragement from TV on the Radio's David Sitek, Fulbright and Montague relocated to Brooklyn. With a co-conspirator in Miyuki, the way was paved for Shock Cinema. And that way is revenge.
For the rest of 2007, Shock Cinema will focus on touring and recording tracks for their next effort at Sitek's Stay Gold Studio with Chris Coady (Blonde Redhead, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gang Gang Dance). Members of ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead and Dragons of Zynth are adding additional instrumentation. Currently, Danny Wood is filling out the line up playing bass guitar.
