The Disfunktional Brothers are an established djing duo from the South London area who have been playing their own blend of funk, soul, breaks and house at many fine establishments in the area. Their style is eclectic and their sound is inspired heavily by the vibe from the dancefloor - the role of the dj is primarily to entertain after all. There's some full-length mixes below (be patient though as they will take a minute to load)... also avalibale via Blentwell.com and SubNav.com as MP3 download format.
Nick C has been djing for 10 years, and was resident at The Blue Bottle (Crystal Palace) for 3 years, but is also a resident of the Southern Solar Soundsystem from the Brighton area. His style spans genres and decades – from funk to disco to house, and everything in between – he firmly believes "that a good tune, is a good tune" no matter what genre it falls into.
Crafty C was a late starter, and after spending much of his youth in guitar-based bands, has spent the last 5 years spinning on the local circuit. His sound is firmly focused on the floor but is nevertheless eclectic, with funk and jazz-powered breakbeat, electro house and a steady supply of bootlegs all making the grade. He aims to keep the FUN in funky.
Currently based in South London, they run the 'Freshly Squeezed','Dis Funk' and 'Scaramanga' nights. What's next for the DBs? This year, the aim is to reach bigger and broader audiences and to commence production on various projects that have so far been stuck on the back burner. New tunes to be uploaded shortly...

whats up chaps listened to your sounds, great music. we're not a million miles apart. the photo of one of you as a kid looks just like a photo of me as a kid kids, all look the same to me would be good to catch one of your sets, im based in SE London as well. ive been remixing ska and putting mcs on it lately (current mission) the tune underwire on my page is just a quick ska mash up first take i did with an mc the other day. but the funk, soul & latin are well and truly alive and kicking. if you have any sets at one of your nights give me a shout, would be good to cross paths. all the best stevie
