Featuring the former backing band of HR from Bad Brains and funked-out vocalist Amee Jana, The Divine Crime is an all-star crew with a high energy show, song-writing power, and a contagious vibe. Representing true musicianship and serious eye candy, this new group demands attention, infusing reggae, roots, dub, dancehall, soul and jam music into a seamless combination! Heavy & danceable grooves with layers of deep bass, synth textures, loud rippin' guitar and heart filled melodies & harmonies is what defines this group. Their mission is to empower every kind of music lover, throw fears & complacency out the door, and rock it out no matter who's staring. Conscious and soulful, the band delivers an incredibly high-powered, raw energy performance, and invites you to share their vision.

The Divine Crime is scheduled to release their debut EP this summer, featuring exclusive dub mixes by THE SCIENTIST, legendary dub producer for some of the greatest reggae artists known today such as Don Carlos, Israel Vibration, Barrington Levy, Eek-a-Mouse and many more. This 6-song EP, including bonus remixes, is a pure example of the band’s versatility, breaking reggae boundaries and incorporating pop / dance elements, layers of rhythm, and words of wisdom & heartbreaks. The EP will be sure to open eyes wide of even the true skeptics, and it is most certain a new phase of reggae music will be reinvented once again. Dubbed, danceable, and fierce, the new album’s energy defines emotion, versatility, and deserves an open mind. Stay tuned release date and celebration event's to follow.

AMEE JANA
Amee Jana Divine, a Boston-born funkalist with a twist, moved to the Los Angeles area from Jupiter about 5 years ago to continue her search for a tropical panaramic view and a new set of rules to break. An in-your-face sweetheart and ultimate workaholic, this dddddd-iva has spun yet another web of mixed genres and musical adventures in her crime scene. She was recently caught on stage and has recorded with Hazie Maze, The Toledo Show, House of Vibe, Prince, Delta Nove, The Greasy Beats, Kim Manning & The Jam Factory, Myka 9, Jonathan McUeun, members of Soulive, John Brown's Body, Deep Banana Blackout, and Trulio Disgracias, Norwood Fisher's funk-nutty masterpiece. Parental Advisory Recommended for all Amee Jana sightings.
JOSH DIVINE
Josh Divine, an Ojai-raised shredder, is a heavyweight player influenced by his NY Hardcore Metal upbringing, vegetarianism, and his greens. He was turned on to reggae by Lenny Dread, who introduced him into a world of irie beats. Before the crime scene, he was caught on tour with HR from Bad Brains, Disfunction, Haile Maskel, and Raggasouljah. You can currently catch him on stage with The Doug Means Project and Hold My Own "Long Beach Harcore" or you can be sure to find this Guido in his Stoney Eye Studio dubbing tracks like a true Cylon. Watch out: Guitar Hero champion in full effect.
BENJI DIVINE
Benji Divine, a bi-costal baby, started playing bass a few days after he was born. By 6-months old, this lil' babe was bass plucking spaceships and glaciers. Solid and fierce, this Divine brings a full source of foundation and balance. Before the crime scene, he was caught on tour with HR of Bad Brains, Butterfly Kings/Lyrically Speaking, Last Ones Left, and Rachel Sedacca. You can currently catch him on stage with Rising Son, Ventura-based reggae veterans, or running on the beach dodging paparazzi.
CYNTHYA DIVINE
Cynthya Divine, a Long Beach sassafrais mama, just recently picked up the keys, holding down the synth and vibe with secret weapons and bedroom eyes. Before the crime scene, she was caught in the studio dubbin' out, tinklin' ivories, entrepreneuing and making secrets potions with wizards. Most likely the most dangerous gangstee you'll ever meet. Caution: Travels often with crime partner, Amee J.
EZRA DIVINE
Ezra Divine, a west coast musician-raised drummer, first crime scene fingerprints were exposed at a Bad Brains concert at the age 14. Living on the streets of Reno, with a foot-tall mohawk and a skateboard, he was on a constant search for the greatest story ever told. Before the crime scene, he was caught on stage with HR of Bad Brains, Disfunction, Dirty Heroine, Ras David, PYRX, Rachel Sedecca, Irie Smile, Mr. Green, Captain Sailor Junk. You can currently catch him on stage with Rising Son, Ventura-based reggae veterans. Beware of his boom and sliver, he was just released from the LA County Zoo.
