The Skandals is a 7-piece Ska Authentic band from Copenhagen.
The band has gained success very early in their career, and may be one of the youngest bands in Europe with that great routine.
The Skandals write and play all their music themselves, and they have been playing lots of concerts, hitting big venues all over Denmark and with occasional shows in Sweden. They have been sharing stage with ska and reggae bands from all over the world, but to name a few: The Slackers, USCB All-stars, Natasja (R.I.P), Alton Ellis (R.I.P), Skalar, Magtens Korridorer and Danish reggae stars BliGlad.
The style is the authentic ska, as it was played in Kingston in the 60’s, influenced by artists such as Skatalites and Toots & the Maytals - mixed with sweet rocksteady and tuff roots.
In March 2009, The Skandals released their first record The Night Is Still Young with a blast. The release-party was more than sold out, and the venue was packed. The record has since recieved good reviews from among others leading danish music-zine Gaffa (http://www.gaffa.dk/anmeldelse/32810)

Es ist mal wieder soweit, der Jahreswechsel steht an und das Berlin Boom Orchestra lädt zur traditionellen Neujahrs-Sause am 02.01.2010 in den Festsaal Kreuzberg.
Mit dabei sind BONFYAH die ihr erstes Album präsentieren werden. Unterstützt wird das ganze vom Dr. Volkanikman.

Chin Ono er Danmarks mest tourende reggae/dancehall artist med 134 live-gigs under bæltet siden 2006 - både lokalt og international. Han tourede og arbejdede tæt sammen med Danmarks reggae dronning Natasja fra 2003 til hendes tragiske ulykke i sommeren 2007, og har som den eneste nulevende skandinaviske reggae artist gjort sig gældene på Jamaica, hvor han både har indspillet singler, optrådt live, samt givet interviews og live optræden på Jamaicansk radio og TV.
Chin Ono er pt i gang med at indspille et full length album PÅ DANSK, der kan forventes ude i forsommeren 2010! Der vil kun blive offentliggjort ET nummer på dansk, inden pladen er på gaden!
Det drejer sig om sangen "DROP DIN PISTOL", som omhandler problemerne omkring den verserende bande-rocker-krig, og simpelthen er for aktuelt til at vente med at blive hørt!
Ellers er den eneste mulighed, for at høre det nye danske materiale (inden pladen er ude), at tage til en af Chin Ono & The Ragga Packs forårs-koncerter.
