About The D*MAGGS

Spawned from the fertile musical environs of San Pedro, California, The D*MAGGS are a female-fronted garage rock group known for their riveting live shows, diverse catalog of original music and true-blue DIY ethic. Together since 1998, The D*MAGGS draw from such influences as The WHO, KISS, The Pixies, X, The Pretenders, Cheap Trick, The Clash, and Joan Jett. Krista Ray and Sheila McSherry share give-and-take vocals and rhythm-guitar duties. Bassist Troy Spiropoulos and drummer Myra Gallarza round out the bands sturdy sound with solid beats and menacing bass lines. And carrying on the tradition of his dad's cool demeanor, driving riffs and fiery leads, Joey "effing" Ray has successfully stepped into the role as the band's new lead guitarist. Band highlights include performing at the Panasonic Core Tour Sports and Musical Festival in 2001 and 2002. The D*MAGGS have three original recordings: The D*MAGGS live 2000 ©, Fabulous Disaster 2003 ©, and are currently focusing on post-production of Rock, Paper, Scizzors©.
