About me: The Dog N Bone British Pub opened it's doors on Tuesday, February 24, 2004. While it has only been open for a short time, this hub of exitement in Central Brevard County has developed quite a strong following. The "regulars" are well established with new friends joining the crowd weekly. The pub is located in the heart of historic Cocoa Village, which has come alive in recent years with the opening of new specialty shops, dining and entertainment venues that keep the community hopping until the wee hours. Two of the owners, Tracy and Simon Wells, are from England. The other two, identical twins David and Richard Lemon, were born in Greece. The four have been friends for years, having met for the first time playing darts at Patty Cassidy's in Cocoa Beach where Tracy and Simon were working. They had always kidded that they should open a bar together. Then the current residence of The Dog N Bone came available and they decided to make a go of it. Because the group wanted to move quickly to set up the business, the group conducted most of their negotiations, plans and purchasing decisions on the phone. "Dog and bone is Cockney slang for telephone, so that's how the Dog N Bone got it's name. The Dog N Bone is actually two clubs in one. Downstairs one finds a traditional British Pub open seven days a week which is complete with darts (steele tip of course), cribbage, pool and chess. The telle is tuned to football (soccer) matches. The pub's atmosphere is absolutely authentic from decor to beer selection. Beers on tap include Guinness, New Castle ("Newky Brown"), Boddington's (Boddy's), Stella and Bass, among others. There also is delicious Kellys Cider for Cider lovers. While Britain is the theme, flags from various countries drape over the bar, embracing an international clientele. Everyone is welcome! Upstairs is the 9 Stone Cub, which is open Wednesday through Sunday. The 9 Stone Club is a high energy nightclub that offers karaoke and DJs blasting the hottest dance hits. After midnight, it gets risque upstairs as the women and men often spontaniously take turns dancing at "the poles." It's the karaoke of exotic dancing (with clothes on). Customers are clearly pleased with the variety the establishment offers. "The owners have done a good job combining an authentic pub atmosphere with a nightclub. You get a change of pace just by taking the stairs," said Tom Jacobs of Mims, who recently stopped in the pub for a beer. According to Tracy, "It is a common practice in England to start the evening in a pub to get your dance legs ..wards, you move on to a dance bar. We've combined the two here with The Dog 'n' Bone and The 9 Stone Club."

Hey!! Long time no see!! We're finally home from our month-long east coast tour, and have our first show back in Melbourne at the Getaway Martini Bar tomorrow (Friday) night starting with opening act, Bob Green at 8:30 and then we rock out at 10:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.!!!
