The Dopest Show On Earth's Comedian Bio
|
| Bio | The Dopest Show on Earth is presented by 420 Comic and producer Jeffrey Peterson. It started out as The Dope Show and was the brainchild of Jeffrey Peterson & Tere Joyce. Their intention was to bring laughter to a very serious subject; The legalization of Marijuana for medicinal use in compliance with California Prop. 215 ratified under U.S. Senate Bill 420. In addition our show celebrates the rock-n-roll culture and all of the craziness that goes with it through stand-up comedy, monologues, music and improv sketches. In April of 2007, Tere Joyce made the decision to part company with The Dope Show for Creative and Financial reasons. However the show lives on in the form of The Dopest Show On Earth @ The Cat Club.
In the past 2 years the shows have included great comics such as Mo Collins, Chris Porter, "Stuttering" John Melendez, Brian Scolaro, The Greg Wilson, Peter Berman, Jeff Richards, Jen Kober, Ty Barnett, Adam Hunter, Howard Dover, Craig X, Jimmy & Joey, Vic Dunlop, Steven Pearl, Joey Gaynor, Michael Pace, Jay London, KT Tatara, Phil Varone, Tobe Hixx, Warren Durso, Jeff Steele, Brad Williams, Ngaio Bealum, Julie McCullough, Ben Gleib, Owen Benjamin, Auggie Smith, Monty Hoffman, Ron Osborn, Brett Walkow, Bruce Jingles, Charles Sanchez, Zach Waldman & more. We’ve had speakers like LA JEMM’s Richard Eastman and Richard Marcella from HEMP FOR VICTORY. Our musical guests have included Norwood Fisher from Fishbone, Mojow & The Vibration Army, Whoolilicius, Stolen Rose, Burning The Masses, Serpent Underground, Dopegirl, Freedom People, Robbie Rist, DJ Grim- Lee, Logan Grusso, FoxyCock and The King & The Barber.
The audience has included celebrities such as Ice House owner Bob Fisher, Geoff Browne from Last Comic Standing, Ernest Thomas from "What’s Happening", Robbie Rist from "The Brady Bunch", R&B artist UNE.., Jon Easedale lead singer for Dramarama, Slim Jim Phantom from The Stray Cats and legendary comedian Bruce Baum.
The Dopest Show on Earth is 2 years strong and now features The Dopettes: Indica & Sativa. In October 2007, Jeffrey was given the title "Official Comic for LA NORML" by LA NORML Director Bruce Margolin. The Dopest Show on Earth will continue to grow and develop, take the journey with us.
