Attend a Douglas James Band show and you will quickly see what the band is about. This band is committed to creating a party at every show, and each show takes on its own form depending on the audience.
While some bands spend hours rehearsing to get every note right, and won't stray from their songlist (nothing wrong with that); The Douglas James Band is not afraid to take a chance and play something without rehearsal. Requests are always welcomed and usually attempted.
Audiences rave about the musical ability of the band, but the music is just one aspect of the show. Add comical bits and banter between the band and audience, a box of hats for the audience to wear during the show, a camera at ready for photo ops that make their way to the website, and much more spontaneous fun; and you have a night to remember.
In July of 2007 the band released their debut cd "Boondocky". The next steps are to begin touring to support the cd, while shopping a record deal and writing for the next cd.
