Doors open Wednesday - Saturday - at 6 pm unless the schedule indicates otherwise, Thursday shows typically start at 8pm *** All ages are welcome to all shows Thursday - Friday. For the Open Hoot on Wednesdays, you must be 18 or with a parent or guardian. **** Cash and checks are gladly accepted, we do not take credit or debit cards.*** Beer is served (no wine or liquor).*** The Down Home is a non-smoking venue.
The primary emphasis is on quality music, and the performance atmosphere promotes listening rather than socializing. There is plenty of time for friendly conversation before the show and between sets, but during the show, it is all about the music. With an excellent sound system hung from the ceiling, the club is a favorite of performers as well as listeners.***
***Appetizers are always available and a full dinner menu is usually available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday until the show starts.*** The dishes served at the Down Home are homemade with fresh ingredients, from our salsa and cornbread to the beans and rice served with the meals. We do not use ground beef or pre-prepared food.
