Alex & Mike were in the Drills for 5 yrs each, and those bastards helped Rawger and Kerry kick the crap out of Miami, So. Florida and Atlanta too. After 1988, members included Greg Dawson, Bruce Braddock (now fronting LA band The Dark Ride, "Harley" aka Robert Lee Davidson, Alan St Lesa, Mike Purtill, each putting in about 2 years. As Rattlebone in 1991, Roger & Kerry were joined by guitarist Brendon McNichol, and Hammond Organ player Jeff Muendel. In 1995, Greg Beerybower replaced Brendon on Gtr, lasting about a year before the band broke up.
Rawger is back to being Roger Deering and is fronting a flashy band called Smash Fashion. Their debut album, "The Gentleman's Guide to Sophisticated Savagery", is available at Amoeba Music and online at CDBaby.com. They have a kickass myspace site on our Friends list.
Subway Mike Hall is living in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, still gigging, and Alex "Hood" Herera is still gigging in Miami. They're both on the Friends list here.

In 1984, Drummer/Manager Kerry Furlong joined Rawger Deering (Vx, Bs), Subway Mike (Rthm Gtr, Vx) and Alex Hood (Ld Gtr) and was happy to find that grease and sweat was caked all over their beer soaked rehearsal pad. They jammed "Now I Wanna Be Your Dog" for a half hour and the rest was history. Then as their chops got better, the songs got faster, always hungry for more power.
Legendary Miami club promoter Richard Shelter started booking these sleaze-mongers at his Miami Beach hotspot, FLYNN'S OCEAN 71, and later at The CAMEO THEATER, opening for the likes of The Ramones, Husker Du, Lords of the New Church, The Dead Boys (re-union tour w/Stiv!!), DRI, COC, and even the Circle Jerks and Suicidal Tendencies.
Their debut album was released in 1987 on Balls of Steel Records, an indie lable started by drummer Kerry. Things got crazy and by '88, Rawger, Kerry, and two other guys moved to Los Angeles, recruiting new guitarists and playing steadily until they got signed to Disney-owned Hollywood Records and released a 5-song CD under the new name, "RATTLEBONE."
Any unreleased music? Lots!!!! Kerry now works in the music business under Doc McGhee and Spencer Proffer, and there's about 4 albums worth of unreleased Drills material, plus an unreleased full album by Rattlebone. All that will be clawing it's way into your computer speakers eventually.
