The Drivers is a three piece rock outfit with the primary
goal of entertainment. After fine-tuning the repotoire
over the last eighteen months, the band is now ready
to take their show to an even larger audience.
It all began in July 2006 when the line-up was finalised
and by October 2006, the band had performed a
bunch of gigs and secured first place in the Victorian
leg of the World battle Of The Bands. A trip to Sydney
for the Australian Finals capped of a great six months
for the act which then proceeded to demo the twenty odd
songs in the repotoire.
2007 has seen many gigs at the Esplanade Hotel,
Revolver and North Melbourne’s Public Bar.
The band is now in the process of planning a recording
and a film clip to take the word to the masses. Release
with great riffs and classic content, The Drivers bluesy
rock style is reminiscent of legends such as Led
Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix and they
make one hell of a racket for a three piece. For booking enquiries pls follow the myspace link or alternatively you can reach the drivers at ausmusiconline@optusnet.com.au.
