  • Bio

The trio was formed by Jochen Eisentraut (piano/vocals) in August 2007 in Bangor, North Wales, working with two gifted young players, Huw Vaughan Williams (bass) and Joe Taylor (drums) to develop an original sound focusing on groove and atmosphere. .. The trio played the Canary Wharf Jazz Festival, Brecon Jazz Fringe and Theatr Harlech during the summer of 2008, after working as house band at a couple of jazz nights during the previous year (frequently appearing as The Dr Jay Trio). .. In September 2008 Huw and Joe took up places at music college leaving Jochen free to experiment with different line-ups including Ged Lynch (Peter Gabriel, Goldfrapp) on drums and Owen Evans (Lleuwen, Gruff Rhys, Huw Warren) on bass with whom he has recorded the album 'Chillax', on the Sain label, available on iTunes from October 2009.
