NOTE:He likes expensive cheese.

Previous Bands

Brace
Penguin

Charlie

Sound Engineer/Drum Tech

The Newest Member, this man is in control of EVERYTHING and you can't miss him at a gig (he will most likely be the tallest dude in the joint) he also fills in for bass when Mike is feeling lazy. He has is finger on the pulse the whole gig making sure the tunes sound sexy for the audience.
Influences

Mick is an old school rocker. He has been influenced by classic bands such as AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi etc. Basically, if they wore tight pants and had big hair, he's got their album somewhere.(you don't want to see him in tight pants)

Scott is a punker from way back. He loves to sing really really fast, all the while bouncing up and down like some manic jack-in-the-box.

Mike Loves to rock (and you know what happens when he does that). So when he rocks out its to bands like Guns N Roses, Screaming jets, Living colour and Pearl jam.

Tim Just likes cheese

Sounds Like

After you have seen The Drop Bears in action you will feel like you have just seen the original artist. With the diversity of four vocalists we have the ability to create many different feels and sounds. We pride ourselves on delivering the song to you, the audience, with everything you expect from it and with a great show to back it up.

When Mick and Scott crank up their amps, you will experience a great blend of the classic pub rock sound roaring out of Mick's Marshall Triple Super League and the gain cutting through with raw metal sound from Scott's Peavey valves.

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!!! (No, not steak knives)

Thumping underneath, Mike drives his bass into your chest. You have no choice but to feel every note, with the phattest sound on bass you will ever have the pleasure of hearing (warning we take no responsibility of your booty shaking out of control from his driving bass groove) .

The rhythm is driven by TIM. To start with, this guy has great groove and his kit is sweeeeeet. THE ALMIGHTY SLEISHMAN, what a sound. A home grown kit that has a sound like no other. The kick on this beast sounds fantastic and forces you to leave your seat, jump around and dance, no matter how bad you are (alcohol helps with this as well).

   About The Drop Bears
The Definitive Cover Band

The Drop Bears are a Canberra based cover band.

What makes us the 'DEFINITIVE' cover band?
It is the attention to detail we put into our performances to replicate the music with the respect that it deserves (e.g backing vocals, solos and great lead vocals).

Mixing 4 eclectic styles, and with the versatility of 3 vocalists, bass, lead,
rhythm guitar and drums. The Drop Bears can and have performed all types of styles to keep different music lovers happy. We try to have a few up out sleeve for that odd ball request that we often get.

We have invested in high quality equipment to achieve great sound and lighting on stage.

We have traveled throughout New South Wales, and have played at such locations as Canberra, Forbes, Parkes, Cowra etc

If you would to book us for a show at your wedding or venue/wedding/function please don't hesitate to contact us through: thedropbears@hotmail.com and we will get back to as quick as possible.
