Sounds Like
The Teeth brandish wildly swinging jump-jive-rhythm-and-boogie and hurl it kicking and screaming into the next millennium. We take old school jazz and jive tunes, dust 'em with some Blues, Ska and a whole heap of Attitude and call it New Breed Swing!
Based in the West Midlands but touring all over the world, The Doctor Teeth Big Band fire up a furious stage show the likes of which are rarely seen in these dark days of processed pop and cookie-cutter contenders. Fronted by Chicago-born blues shouter Stephen ”The Doctor” Steinhaus and featuring a blistering 3 piece horn section the ‘Teeth believe in the relentless pursuit of a good time via the medium of rocking blues music. With their latest release, Rhythm is our Business, still garnering stonking reviews and stand out festival appearances across Europe, the UK and the USA , these guys are living proof that music can save your mortal soul. Still not a believer? Come get yourself a healthy dose of life affirmiin’, genre-bustin’, earth-shakin’ rhythm and blues!
Good evening! I'll be starting a tour in the UK next week, and wanted to let you know.
You may have heard my guitar playing and not even realized it was me. I played with Buddy Holly, and when you listen to "It's So Easy" or "Heartbeat"...well, that is me.
We will play some of the Buddy Holly songs that i played on so many years ago, and a few more! I might even sing a couple.
I hope you can make one of the dates?
Best,
Tommy Allsup
