The Duke Western is the solo project of David Scott Rockower, A young budding songwriter producer/ multi-instumentalist located in the capital region of New York State. "The Duke Western is the name that I release my recordings under, kind of like my own band - only its just me so it cuts down on the arguments, but somehow still doesn't totally eliminate them. I wanted a name that sounded more like an event than just my name, the name came to me in a dream a few years back, I'll never tell what I was dreaming about however".

With 20 years playing guitar, bass, drums, piano, and voice David is one of the first call musicians in the area and can be found in his studio whittling away at a mix or on stages across new york state and beyond.

"I don't like to set musical limits for myself, Ive always respected people who don't pigeon-hole or type-cast themselves, the chameleons of the world. I remember when I was very young and starting to play guitar, everyone told me I had to play rock, and I did, but I soon realized that there were other styles and much to be learned from being well rounded. I want to be remembered as that kind of musician."
