Influences
The Ramones, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Velvet Underground, Bauhaus, The Cure, Wire, Joy Division, The Pixies, The Undertones, The Violent Femmes, T. Rex, The Cars, ELO, Doo-Wop, 70's and 80's rock...
The Dumb Easies consist of Cory, Matt, Heather, Ted and Scotty, and they are from Ohio. They go out every night and get shit-faced, but in their spare time, they make really good pop songs with catchy 80's style pop melodies, some hot 70's rockin' guitar licks, the barest essentials of a rhythm section, awesome vocals, great harmonies, good lyrics and a lot of drama! They take what's good from decades of Rock and Roll and leave the bad behind. They are modernly radio-friendly without submitting to modern radio music... As it turns out, years of drug addiction, religious oppression and sexual frustration still translate into really good songs.
