In our younger days we tried bank robbin. However we quickly found out that it was too hard to steal things from Banks in the 1970s. So we took up bootlegging. Only problem with that was we tended to drink up most of the profits and also realized that our car was too slow to outrun the cops. So then we tried gunfigtin but soon gave that up too cause we got real tired of always havin to sit with our backs to the wall to guard against bushwackers.
Finally we became flyswatter salesmen and thats how The Dust Bowl Band was formed. As a way to increase our flyswatter sales. You see at every concert we play, we also sell CDS. With every CD we sell, we throw in a complimentary fly swatter to boost our sales volume. It is always great fun to see the audience tapping their feet to the music, singing along to the songs and swatting each other. A tradition that continues to this day. Wanna buy a swatter?

Hey Mr. Rock and Roll!! Sorry I haven't commented or e-mailed. My computer has been running slow and is letting me do one thing at a time. I keep having to shut it down. I'm not sure what is wrong with it, but it is frustrating!! I owe you an e-mail and will get it sent soon, but wanted to let you know I LOVE your new song. It totally rocks!! Have a great weekend, ok? Lori
Hey Friend!! Thanks for the nice comment. Yes, I am sure Chuck will be your friend!! He is a great guy. You guys should come and see him with us in Reno. Blood, Sweat and Tears are playing as well. It is probably too far for you right now, so let's get together for a concert sometime, ok? Hopefully the Zombies in August. Still waiting on Danny!! I am getting ready to call him now. We are headed for the Bay Area early in the morning for 3 days so I hope you have a great weekend. Talk soon, ok? Lori

Hiya! You still haven't told me how you got that backstage pass for the Zombies. I got the song Sunlight to come up. I do know the song, but did not know the name of it. It is now one of my favorite songs. Thanks for passing it on. Have a great day!! Lori
You have some great pictures!! How did you get that backstage pass for Colin and Rod? Did you steal it? :) I hope you saved it. You can get money for it on e-bay!! LOL!! I love your new song Special Day. It sounds really good. Linda looks gorgeous, as usual!! Tell her hello. Hope to see you guys at the Cannery!! Lori
Your story about Dusty Springfield cracked me up. Thanks for the laugh!! Too bad it was a dream. I hope you have a great week and thank you for being my friend. Hugs, Lori
Happy Saturday to you!! We really do seem to love the same music. The music I just put up on my page is my son's old band (It was his first CD). It's pretty heavy, but it's my baby boy!! He is on lead guitar. Have you seen the Zombies in concert before? I have a friend who works (or did before Bo got sick) for Bo Diddley and for my birthday last year he got me back stage to meet them and to sing Happy Birthday to me. It was such an unbelievable moment. I don't even have a picture of it. That's a long story but it is the truth. Not only are they fantastic in concert, they are wonderful people. I did get to see them again at another concert and get a picture, but it wasn't the same. It was special though. They sound just as good as they did in the 60's and their music is timeless. That is mainly what we talked about with them. Have a great weekend!! Hugs, Lori
Hi there!! Thanks so much for the comments on the Cannery pictures. We had so much fun. You should have come and hung out with us. It was a week long trip for us, but we had so much fun. We had great seats (front row) and the weather was gorgeous. We didn't even need a jacket. Hope to see you at one of the concerts soon. Chuck will be playing in Woodland the first week of May so if you can, you should come. I think we are going as well. It's a day long picnic with an afternoon concert. Should be a lot of fun!! Have a great week. Hugs, Lori
