Biography
The Dysentery Hero! is an Indonesian pop punk band formed in 2008. The band originally consisted of Andresa (guitar, lead vocals), Aditia (bass, vocals) & Abuy (drums). But in May 2011, Abuy left the band because of personal reason and was replaced by Irfan as an additional drummer.
Everything was beginning from Andresa's desire for having permanent band. Previously, Andresa was an additional guitarist for several bands in his high school. One night, Andresa called his friend, Aditia and asked him to be a bassist but Aditia wasn't sure that he could play a bass because he never taught it before. Next day, Andresa taught Aditia the bass line of Green Day's "Basket Case" with acoustic guitar and Andresa introduced him a song called "15" (it appeared on The Dysentery Hero!'s "Just a Bad Demo!"). Abuy listened to the song and said the song was good then Abuy spontaneously recruited as drummer. "The Dysentery Hero!" was taken by Andresa when he listened to blink-182's Dysentery Gary & Sum 41's Underclass Hero while he was in toilet.
The lastest EP entitled "Another Day In Wasteland". it contained 3 new songs and a re-recorded song. You can download first single "Wasteland" at http://www.purevolume.com/thedysenteryhero

It was beginning from Andresa's desire for having permanent band. Previously, he was an additional guitarist for several bands in his high school. One Night, Andresa called his friend, Aditia and asked him to be a bassist but Aditia wasn't sure that he could play a bass because he never taught it before. Next day, Andresa taught him the bass line of Green Day's "Basket Case" with guitar acoustic and introduced him a song that called "15" (it appeared on The Dysentery Hero!'s "Just a Bad Demo!"). When they were playing "15", came Abuy asking who the song's writer is and he said that the song was 'cool'. Spontaneously Abuy recruited as drummer until now. .... "The Dysentery Hero!" was mixed & taken by Andresa when listen of blink-182's Dysentery Gary & Sum 41's Underclass Hero while he was in toilet. Andresa chose it as the band's name just for fun until now. .... In 1st December 2008, They recorded their first songs entitled "Have a Crush on You". A few month later "15" had recorded. "Don't Ever You Play This Game With Me" was the third that recorded, it was written by Abuy & music by Andresa and at the last track was "Honesty Will Makes everything Bad be Alright" a song that written only in 10 minutes by Andresa. .... In 2010, they will release an EP entitled "Another Day in Wasteland" with 4 songs as soon as possible. -
