One day ***** decided to write some music. So he did. He wanted people to hear his poor quality 4-track demos. So he did. So he posted them on myspace. So he did. He wanted a band together. So he did. Thrown together, like his demos, in AD HOC style one could say. THEE AD HOC was born. Currently in hiding 'til their hair grows long enough to cover their ample bodies, THEE AD HOC will one day emerge....

ive listened to tons of Sonic Youth lately! altho it would be nice to hear more of her vocals in them but yeah thanks for the comm. had to google the woman and find out who she was!!
Here, ERASE ERRATA IS FUCKING GREAT!! I feel like I'm a 14 years old girl again!! (when I first discovered L7 and Babes in Toyland)
Wow aint sure which EITS album it is, but its klass! Listened to it last night to fall asleep, brill!
Off the boozer I mean 'staying away from booze and going out in general'... I overindulged the past while, my body is aching for a rest!
No plans of going abroad yet although I did promise a friend I would visit her in Switzerland (Bern) this Spring... And we'll probably have a few gigs across the ocean this year, gonna be good craic! :)
We also talked about going to Werchter Festival in Belgium. Handy 'cos close enough to where I'm originally from :)
Yes thats Drums not dead I have. Excellent! Bought 'They Threw Us All in a Trench and Stuck a Monument on Top' last night but haven't listened to it yet. Also bought Explosions In The Sky's 'Help Us Stay Alive' and Erase Errata 'Other Animals' but need to give them a good listen. No never seen EE live. Good yeah?
I spend all my money on rent, music and alcohol... I'm off the boozer now for the week and banned myself from music shops for the next month. Pfew!
Any plans of going to Deutschland soon? You going to ATP this year?
How exciting! Delighted for ya! Yeah I have my lightbox on for an hour every morning. It's sitting right beside me right now, on my office desk. The boss doesnt mind so much so its all good! It's mad bright, ya should see it! Yes I have a Liars album at home and I fuckin love it! It reminds me of Radiohead at times! Someone said to me it wasnt their best one though, so I can't wait to get the one I was advised to get, which I will probably get along with Devastations and Erase Eratta at the weekend. Weeeeeeeeeeee!
A noise band hey? Kool! How many in the band? Bass drums and you? (keep it to 3, its the magic number) I'm pretty good this weather, thanks to my lovely lightbox. I wish I had bought it 8 years ago! I still havent got Devastations... Which album did you say I should get? How you keeping otherwise? Alles gut?
haha typical man! I think they're amazing! Them and WAK are my 2 fav norn irish bands. In fact, I reckon they ARE the best!
Yeah I went to see Liars when they played here last month, mad arent they! Dunno The Devastations... Worth checking out? Which album?
New yEars eve was grand, gigging and very hungover from the night before in Belfast. I shoulda mentionned i was going up... Only thought about it when we were on our way up.
“HELIOPAUSE began with the quiet sketchbook tracks created by Singer/Songwriter/Artist Richard Davis. They were low-key songs made up of layered guitar and layered vocals. Towards the end of 2005, Michael Kinloch (Tracer AMC) and Niall Harden (Iden Green) came on board to help perform the tracks live, breathing new life into them and creating the energetic tracks they now are...”
Things changed with Richard’s move to Germany. He still plays with the band but this Tuesday at Clements he will be performing a solo acoustic set!

Conor Scullion Bassist for pop-funk outfit The Greeters, Conor Scullion is a singer/songwriter currently based in Belfast. He has recently finished recording a self-produced album "Kingdom Come" and a selection of the 12 track album can be found on his MySpace. He has also gotten a band together with the intention of playing these tunes later in the year.
So I finally listened to the new songs. I really love U-3. It's different from the others. Um, I finally got my bass yesterday. And I finally put it down about an hour ago. Lol. I hope you're okay. With Love, Niki
Dolbro Dan is Daniel Mulligan, a 23 year old songwriter from Bangor, Northern Ireland. He plays his own alternative folk songs on harmonica and 'dolbro' resonator guitar [hence the name Dolbro Dan] and has even been compared to a young Bob Dylan…
His album Singin' Homemade Music is out now! Check his MySpace for more information on how to buy.
'Daniel's songs are simple but effective strummers with charming self-referential ruminations. There's a great sense of self-deprecating humour and fun with a keen handle on when to play it entirely straight too' Alternative Ulster http://www.myspace.com/dolbrodan
David McCann
Guitarist/singer/songwriter whose lilting melodies and wistful lyrics make his gigs worth going to!
Oh! And to answer your question about 'when' you'll be able to hear the Blender... As soon as the songs are mixed and mastered, they'll be put up on my music page. I use the Blender on one of them :) How do you get to have more than 4 tunes playing in your player?
You've got both Lite Ash and Mister Jazz don't ya?
Fender Blender is alright but it makes my guitar sound so messy you can't make out what I'm playing anymore at best of times!! The use of reverb isn't great with that pedal, which is kinda shit cos I've my reverb knob up to 9 on my amp! I'll only be using it for lead bits I think... Maybe I still have to figure out how to use it, dunno.
Recording day starts next sunday. We're doing it live so we've been in studio the past 3 weeks getting the songs as tight as can be. Can't wait!!!
