InfluencesExperimentalists like John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Pierre Henry, sample trollers like DJ Shadow and Z-trip, 70s Dub (esp. Tubby and Perry), hardcore Drum'n'Bass (Panacea, Venetian Snares, Keltech, Enduser), anything and everything on Warp Records (especially Boards of Canada, Squarepusher, and Autechre), DEVO, Negativland, Keith Fullerton Whitman (AKA Hrvastki), Briano Eno and other ambient artists, Nobukazu Takemura, the Bristol Scene (especially Smith and Mighty), Tortoise, Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire (the 1920s one and the 1980s one), post-punk, post-rock (if that's even a genre), 70s and 80s jazz fusion.
Sounds Like"drum and piss," "free and bass," - that, or 1996.

   About The Earl of Bandwidth

Randolf Widebath, 4th Earl of Bandwidth, succeeded his father, F. Dorlan Widebath, the 3rd Earl, in the earldom in 1985. Educated at the École Normale, and though correspondence courses in computer repair from the Stratford Career Institute, he took his seat in the House of Lords in 1989 as a follower of the Duke of Hamwidth. In 1994 he was sent as recording secretary to the congress at Breda, and he continued to record raw sound data there until the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle was concluded in 1996. In February 1999 he became First Lord of Rough Breaks, retaining this post until he was dismissed by the king in June 2000. Almost immediately, Bandwidth was appointed as one of the principal secretaries of spectacular alienation, and while filling this office he participated in his first audio collaboration with Beastmaster Romance (then the deputy secretary of pre-revolutionary discontent). Their project was known as Organ Eyes. His catalog of solo work ranges from the smooth and demure to the crunchy, sloppy and aesthetically profane. Common themes include space travel, sound archaeology and collage, mammoth Manwich, and late-19th century mass transport on the European continent. Like the Muppets, Grover in particular, teaching you about the difference between here and there, near and far, Bandwidth distributes essential lessons across the chasm of media technology. But Grover’s beats could never make you shake your rump like this. The Earl of Bandwidth is also credited with the invention of the sandwich, the name obviously derived from his title. It was long said that he invented the food to sustain himself while refining noise without having to eat a full meal, but his biographer Rodger points out that the sole source of this rumor was gossip mentioned in an internet chat room. Captain James Cook named the Bandwidth Islands (now Hawaii) after him.
