Raised in the expanse of strip malls and twenty-four hour coffee shops that make up the suburbs of east Toronto, The Eatons formed in 2005 with a mission: to transform the inertia of suburban living into propulsive slices of classicist pop. Comprised of Boris Chan (vocals, guitar), Sebastian Franks (guitars, vocals) and Jacky Siu (bass, vocals), The Eatons distill the exuberant melodies of Weezer, the ramshackle aesthetic of Pavement and the melancholic powerpop of Teenage Fanclub into a unique brand of thrilling rock.
That was a great set at Rancho Relaxo, UK-inspired rock, retro indie-pop gems, soaring vocals, and an infectious energy that's both sparkling and dynamic. Really looked and sounded good on the new stage. Keep to your musical vision.
I'll apologize now for the mass Comment... but the good news is I don't know one darn person that got a $500 Macy's gift card.
In case you missed our Mod Club show last month, we thought we'd give you the heads up that we're playing this upcoming Saturday (November 17th) at Neutral Lounge on College St. as part of DJ Lawrence's Kensington Station night. Show time is 10:30 PM sharp.
In case you feel like a night out for malty beverages and of course some Rock and Roll, we're playing the Mod Club on Saturday the 20th (Depending if you're in the GTA that night or not)
If you think you might be able to make it send me a message and I'll put you on the guest list.
You guys are rockariffic! I wish I had some say in the podcast, but it was only a two-week stint. You can get Craig Norris on Facebook (he probably has a myspace too) and see if he'll work you in there. However, if you're through Ottawa in the near future I'd love to come see the show.
Awesome new demos you have there, thank you so much for letting me know :)
Are you going to the TIMA awards on October 5, if so I just might see you there. I've been acting as a judge throughout the summer and it should be a fun night!
Keep making great music and have a great day today. Keep in touch!
Come on Eatons, I'd love to see you at the Reverb on the 18th. Besides, I'm pretty sure Matt would like it too. I'll be doing the door and guaranteed you'll all get hugs.
I have been posting shows in Toronto on a regular basis on bulletins and both your shows are listed. Please keep coming back to post a comment, which will lead me back to your profile so I know about your shows. If you leave a comment, I won't forget to list your shows :)
You can also drop by to say "hi" sometime to leave a comment to let more people know about you!
Hey boys. About the 19th: Rebel Radio's bailed out on us, and I'm going to try and find another band to take their place. But if you know any other bands or have any mind, please drop me a line.
mm hmm. i remember my friend kenneth telling me about you guys when you were first starting out in high school. we're glad that you're still going at it! =)
Hi, could you get everyone you can to text vote tri to 61188 as we are 30 out of 450 in Channel 4's Popworld competition! We have a chance of climbing right up the charts with your help!
