Well, our adventure started in 2002. It was a nice day and we decided to start a band. At first, the concept was a traditional punk rock band – no ska involved like yet. But as time went by we started to mix punk and ska – the outcome is the sound that you know as THE ECCOS – pure ska punk at it’s best.
New friends joined and some of them left the band but the concept was always the same. Despite all the line up changes, we tried to play as many shows as possible in clubs around our hometown and abroad, (birthday) parties, festivals and a lot more. The goal was to play - it didn’t matter where or when. We were young kids with an overdose of energy and a great desire to give it all at every show. We always try to connect fun on stage with leaving a message to the lads. There was a point, after that project was no longer just making music, more to the truth it became a way of life for us all.
We loved the fact that we started to be more than just a band. Nowadays, the band - "The Eccos" - is our way to lead our energies – bad or good ones – to fulfil and identify ourselves with it. It became our way of escaping from reality, where we work in jobs we don’t like for money we don’t need! We’re talking, singing, writing and thinking about revolutionary and humanitarian topics like sexism, fascism, racism, slavery as well as animal liberation and environment pollutions and many more problems, that we think the world should face.
After more than more than 100 shows in AT, GER, HU, CZ, SK and SL we shared the stage with bands like Panteon Rococo (MEX), The Locos (ex Ska-P ESP), Rantanplan (GER), Karamelo Santo (ARG), Argies (ARG), Streetlight Manifesto (ex Catch22 USA), The Toy Dolls (UK), Emil Bulls (GER), The Peepshows (SWE), Stroh (ESP), Kafkas (GER), Planet Smashers (CAN) and many many more...
So... Now, every time you join an Eccos show you do not just support a band! No, you’re supporting a scene, a cause, a different lifestyle which we call unity, a unity to make the world a happier and safer place.

Yes, I do know that you have played with them, that..s why they reminded me Eccos:-) I heard about Locos for the first time from you...:-) They had great show at Rock for people festival.
I have amazing time... the longest holidays in my life! Since 19th May when I passed my leaving examination at school. I am going to study journalism/sociology/psychology at university in Brno in September. I am really looking forward, that is what I always wanted to do.
So dont forget to give my greeting to Martin, Pacy, Miguel and the others!

Update: Soeben erreichen uns die Infos aus Wiener Neustadt - die U-Haft wurde bei allen 10 Betroffenen auf weitere zwei Monate erstreckt. Erst Anfang September sind dann wieder reguläre Haftverhandlungen, außer das OLG erklärt in den nächsten Tagen die U-Haft für rechtswidrig.
Wir lassen uns nicht unterkriegen und hoffen also das Beste für unsere FreundInnen und GenossInnen im Knast!
Heute sind reguläre Haftprüfungen in Wiener Neustadt - es gibt eine Dauerkundgebung und wir freuen uns auf rege Beteiligung!
Da an sich das Ergebnis des Oberlandesgerichts über die U-Haftbeschwerde mit vergangenen Freitag erwartet wurde, haben wir nicht damit gerechnet, dass heute, Montag ganz normal die Haftprüfungstermine stattfinden. Weil sich das Oberlandesgericht mit seiner Entscheidung, ob die Verhängung der U-Haft nun rechtmässig war oder nicht, Zeit lässt, finden heute daher ganz regulär die Haftverhandlungen über die weitere Verhängung der U-Haft statt.
Wir rechnen mit keiner Überraschung dh wir vermuten, dass die zuständige Haftrichterin in Wiener Neustadt die U-Haft für weitere zwei Monate verlängern wird.
Auf die nach wie vor ausständige Entscheidung des Oberlandesgerichts (OLG) Wien sind wir sehr gespannt. Sollte das OLG die U-Haftbeschwerde positiv entscheiden, bedeutet das eine sofortige Freilassung aller 10 AktivistInnen!
I just come from Rock for people festival and two things there reminded me Eccos. 1) The Locos :-) and 2) Massive attack - do you remember the singer of Massive that looks a little bit like Martin?:-)
