Raising eyebrows, dropping jaws and inducing "unhealthy" neck movements are all in a nights work for Echoed Silence,
a band born from the Cairns region in Queensland Australia. After forming in 2004, the band has experienced its fair share of line-up changes,
technical difficulties, road trips and guitar string or drumstick related injuries. Echoed Silence work hard to achieve a sense of chaotic perfection with their blend of shredding riffs, tribal rhythms and thrashy breakouts. A mix of deep growling vocals and soaring melodies make the band hard to pin down to any one genre, as they move seamlessly from the far reaches of rock through the molten core of metal and back again.
The members of the band all come from different backgrounds, with their own influences and experience, which has culminated into a virtually endless sea of musical and lyrical inspiration. When playing live, Echoed Silence produce a powerhouse of brilliant showmanship and technical ability, which has been vital in building a large fan-base and securing Echoed Silence as one of the most well known acts of the region.
Echoed Silence have played alongside some of Austrialia's premier bands such as The Screaming Jets, The Angels, 28 Days and Japunga, Mourning Tide, played various festivals such as Cairns Backdrop Festival and Bombay Rock's Soundayze Festival and in early 2007 completed a tour of North Queensland with Brisbane outfit Edge of Earth.
