Bill Henry - Guitar
Bill Henry has been playing jazz guitar for 30 years. He attended Berklee College of Music, and the Mason Gross School of the Arts. During the height of his jazz days he worked in and around New York City, playing all the major jazz clubs with many of the top jazz musicians. Bill has worked with vibes master Steve Nelson, Jon Regan, Scott Robert Avidon, John Macey, Eric Addeo, and singer Jackie Jones to name a few.
Joel Spangler - Alto Sax
An alumnus of the world renowned Berklee College of Music, Joel has studied jazz with many of the genre's foremost musicians. His most influential instructors have been Jeff Harrington (Ricky Ford, Milt Hinton, Toots Thielemans, Makoto Ozone), and Fred Lipsius (Stan Getz, Randy Brecker, Founding member of Blood, Sweat and Tears, Grammy Recipient). While at Berklee, Joel was also a featured as co-leader on rising progressive rock guitarist JC Massaux's debut album.
Charles Steinhauser - Upright Bass
I've been playing bass for over 40 years in a variety of performing bands. Much of that time has been in the genre of old school R&B, and classic rock. Always having an interest in jazz because of its freedom of improvisation, I started studying with bass vertuoso, Ashton Fletcher. This has led me to expanding my playing to upright bass as well as electric.
Since 2004, I have performed in two, three, and four piece jazz ensembles as well as a 17 piece big band. I've always loved playing music --- I believe I am primarily an "in the pocket" jazz player whose goal is to make the group swing. I am very happy to be making music with Bill and Joel --- they are great musicians!
