The Convictor born Dusjohn Williams has been spreading the message of God’s Word through urban missions for over ten years. As a modern day minister/rapper his mission is to reach the streets with the gospel of Jesus Christ. On his forth coming album “The Road” through transparency and a bold delivery he will captivate his listeners, convict the heart and confront various issues in society. Using his own testimony to encourage, strengthen and heal wounded souls, “The Road” shows how God has blessed him with a great gift. When it comes to “The Convictor” no truth is to deep to be exposed.
His Lyricism developed from his early days of battle rapping in the streets of Detroit, MI. Upon meeting Christ his raw skills combined with life experiences became his tools for ministry. His delivery and transparent message warranted the name Convictor. In his beginning he and a few other talented MC’s formed a group called “The Council”. After branching out on his own he produced two albums under God Side Ministries the debut “Convicted” and his sophmore “All 4 Me’. He received raving reviews for the songs Hold On, Come Unto Me, In My Heart and Smile For Me, all written by The Convictor and produced by Mike Bowdre of God’s army. Over the years The Convictor has performed in various venues ranging from churches, concerts, radio and television broad casts.
In 2009 The Convictor teamed up with Infinite Diversity Music to produce his third album “The Road’. With a renewed passion and a new sound “The Convictor”is in a class of his own.
Accomplishments
In 2006 for his song “Smile On Me” he was rewarded The Tiffany Gospel Award for gospel collaboration single of the year. In 2008 at the Detroit Music awards he was nominated for Urban Funk artist of the year.
